African Moderator in Washington, USA We are seeking a full-time African Moderator to join our team in Washington, USA. As a Moderator, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring various online forums and communities to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment for all members. Your role will also involve moderating discussions and enforcing community guidelines to promote healthy and constructive conversations. Key Responsibilities Monitor various online forums and communities to ensure compliance with community guidelines Review user-generated content and take necessary actions such as editing or removing inappropriate content Respond to user inquiries and escape issues to the appropriate team members when needed Moderate discussions by encouraging respectful communication and discouraging offensive or harmful language Work closely with the community management team to implement new policies or procedures as needed Keep up-to-date on current trends and issues within the African community to better understand the needs of our users Qualifications Strong understanding of African culture, traditions, and current affairs Excellent written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus) Experience moderating online forums or communities is preferred Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, empathy, and professionalism Knowledge of social media platforms and their functionalities Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Salary This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $1700 per month.
